Market of Stars - "Folk Tales" Kimono - Duster

While combing through museum archives unearthed WERE some incredible folkart history — a series of intricately embroidered cross stitch pieces. Amongst the collection was a creation by Maria Dominguez, a young woman from Spain. Her cross-stitch had survived over 200 years, along with her carefully woven words which read “Made by Maria Domiguez at the home of Mrs. Ynes Belas, girl’s teacher, in the year 1819.” Maria’s work has been used to create the print for this stunning Artist Jacket, which has the illusion of being embroidered. Maria would be pleased to know her work has been transformed in to wearable art! It can be worn done up or open, but our favourite way to wear it is with the belt tied loosely at the back.

Made from delicate, luxurious silk and wood/bamboo viscose.

Measures 73 cm across the back (underarm to underarm) and 78 cm in length.
